One of the most amazing places in the world. Everyone living in Brisbane who hasn't been should be planning to go in the near future.
9+ hour drive from Brisbane. Choice of three accommodation places nearby : the national park (during school hols), Takaraka, Wilderness Lodge. Which covers byo camping @~$20/night, tent cabin @~$100/night, lodge room @~$220/night. You don't need guided tours, but make sure you find out when Fred is talking at the Art Gallery.
